Steve Mitchell hails from Westchester County,N.Y and has been performing in the area for well over 25 years. His past bands include Pegasus, Fury, The Soul Invaders, The Jackx Band, Head Hunter, The Legendary Sophisticatos, Four In Hand, No Breaks and Lickity Split. His original compositions have been used by Fox Sports, ESPN, CBS and ABC Television, World Class Wrestling, Jerry Springer, Rush Limbaugh and The Milton Bradley Corporation. Several others were used as backing tracks by CBS Television for the internationally televised 1998 Olympics in Barcelona, Spain as well as being featured in sitcoms and documentaries in Europe. In March 2006, Steve was back in the studio recording tracks for the soon to be released full length feature “Arthur the Ardvark” based on the popular PBS childrens animation. Steve has recorded with such notables as keyboardist Jeff Bova (Cindi Lauper, Eric Claption, Robert Palmer) and drummer Hiro Homma (EZO, Sucicidal Tendencies, Cycle Sluts From Hell, Loudness). and is considered both an experienced and versatile session guitarist with a countless amount of studio hours to his credit. On September 13th.2003, Steve reached a milestone in his career performing 1000 live shows in the tri state area. Steve’s thought’s on Sundown…….”We’re not just a band…we’re family and I consider my relationship with my band mates special to say the least. Sharing the stage with Ron is magical because he always seems to know where I’m headed. He’s a great listener as well as a great player…a trait that few guitarists have…. As for Fred……will you please put the Back Drop up… As for Jimmy…..”Shrimp!”……and I’ll meet ya at Hubba’s for Chili Dogs! And as for Keith…I’ve worked with the best…..I’ve got the best….not to mention the fact that after all these years we are STILL the hardest working band on the Circuit….PERIOD”.
